چکیده:

With the development of new multimedia services and Internet technology, it is necessary to protect multimedia data in the digital world. This need of security to today’s owner is essential for a safe upcoming of tomorrow’s digital market place. These and many other reasons sum up together for the researchers, from around the globe to gain interest towards the field of digital Watermarking and Video Watermarking in
particular. Currently, Video Watermarking is in its embryonic stages, with very few companies and academic institutions working on it. The aim of this Paper is to understand the basics of watermarking and video watermarking in particular. A significant part is devoted to the impact of watermarking on the compression efficiency of video and the proposing methods to improve the watermarking efficiency.
